Arthopods

The Grasshopper: 
Phylum: Arthropoda; Class: Insecta 

3 distinct features that Arthropods have include; an exoskeleton, made up of carbohydrate chitin. The exoskeleton provide protection. They are bilateral symmetrical, and jointed appendages, jointed legs. Some interesting facts about Arthropods are that Ancestral arthropods were the first land animals. Grasshoppers have ears on their bellies, and they can also fly using their powerful legs to jump and then using their wings.
